Week One - Secret Zoo

Week One - Secret Zoo!

We began our new sessions of Lego Club with a challenge to create a zoo - with a twist!  The children could make any kind of animal they wanted, real or imaginary, then provide it with a home and some food, but they had to keep what animal it was a secret - then everyone else had to guess what they had made!

The children discussed the different kinds of homes and habitats that various types of animals might need, and everyone set to work.  Some brilliant, imaginative creations were made and we enjoyed sharing some very clever ideas - one child made a pen full of Lego people looking in all directions - her animal had escaped! - and some children chose to work as a team, which was really lovely.

Everyone had great fun guessing what each other's animals might be at the end of the session.  The most popular guess for all creations was "crocodile" - but sadly no-one actually made one! frown

Next Week:  Zipwire Racers

Here are some pictures of the wonderful things the children made - can you guess what they are?
